Hello Coyotes! I am Sergeant First Class (Retired) Slate. I am originally from Nashville, TN and retired from the Army after 24 years of service in Aviation Operations. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I am extremely excited to be a member of the West Creek JROTC Team! JROTC is not about teaching students how to be a Soldier; it is about teaching them to be better citizens... to teach them things they can take with them for the rest of their lives no matter what career choices they make. This is my fifth school year here at West Creek. I will be teaching LET 2 classes and coaching the Marksmanship team this year. I look forward to interacting with all of our Cadets throughout the school year. The Creek is rising!
