CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

  • Be Responsible
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Prepared
  • Ask Questions
  • Follow all WCHS policies

CONSEQUENCES

1st Offense: Documented Parent Contact

2nd Offense: Discipline Referral upon the second documented offense

Outright disrespect/ persistent disruption of the classroom environment may result in an immediate office referral.

If there is a substitute in the room, then you are to respect that person as your teacher. If a substitute writes your name down for disrupting class, for any reason, it is an automatic phone call home with a Teacher detention and a possible discipline referral.

*The teacher reserves the right to send a student to the office whenever necessary.  All school rules and policies as noted in the Student Handbook apply in this classroom.

HOMEWORK POLICY

The only homework is to finish the independent practice assigned in class. Students will be given time to complete independent practice in class.

MAKE-UP WORK/LATE WORK

Yes, I do accept late work, with no penalties, up to one week from the due date. However, if you are more than 7 days late with an assignment you will receive 50% credit. For example, if the assignment is due on Monday, October 19th and you turn it in on Monday, October 26th it will be graded, and you will receive the full credit grade. If you turn it in on Tuesday October 27th it will be graded and the highest grade you can receive is a 50. Students must fill out my late work form, located in Google Classroom, for work to be graded. I will check their forms on Friday at 2:30. If you submit a form after that it will not be checked until the following Friday. All tests and quizzes must be made-up within 1 week. If students fail to make up tests or quizzes, mastery cannot be determined. Students are responsible to contact their teacher to set up their make-up quiz or test.

ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE/TUTORIALS

Tuesday:  2:40pm – 3:30pm

By appointment only. Students must sign up for tutoring before school or during class by filling out the Google Form in my Google Classroom. They may not sign up for tutoring at the end of the day, for the same day. I am always happy to work with students when they need assistance, but students need to be proactive so that they can get help when they need it.
