I am excited to start my sixth year as an educator at West Creek High. I teach medical therapeutics and health science . I am a registered dental hygienist with a back ground in the United States Army. I love teaching, from explaining basic oral hygiene instructions to the youngest of my patients to more intense courses that will map your career in healthcare. I look forward to an exciting year with you on your journey at West Creek were teaching and learning is our priority.

REQUIRED & RECOMMENDED MATERIALS/SUPPLIES It is recommend that each student has 4 packs of index cards, charged laptop, basic calculator, pencils, pens (black and blue) college rule notebook paper 3 ring binder with subject dividers for each standard covered in health science. This year we will be wearing medical scrubs one day a week,  however are not mandatory to participate in any health science class. Scrubs can be purchased online or at most stores in town. Scrubs must be maroon in color. For any questions, please contact me directly.

ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE/TUTORIALS I am available for tutoring by appointment only students and or parents can email me to set up specific date. Assistance is available on Friday’s afterschool at 2:35 pm in my classroom. Your student must have their ride ready to be picked up no later than 3:30 pm

CONSEQUENCES

Students are expected to follow classroom/school rules and procedures. When necessary, I will follow the steps outlined in the Student Handbook to deal with disciplinary issues.

HOMEWORK POLICY

Work will be turned in the following day. Students who are absent will be given the same amount of days missed to turn in missed work. Please check your student’s grades weekly this accounts for 40% of their grade.
